Board
The Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) is an independent regulatory body. Its staff is officially employed with the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, whereas the Board is a so-called autonomous administrative authority (ZBO) under Dutch law. The Board of ACM has the final say over all decisions issued by ACM.

Martijn Snoep
Chairman
Since September 1, 2018, Martijn Snoep has been the Chairman of the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM). Mr. Snoep obtained his law degree from Erasmus University Rotterdam. Until his appointment at ACM, he worked at De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek for 28 years. Operating from both their Amsterdam and Brussels locations, Mr. Snoep gave advice to businesses about the application of competition law in the Netherlands and abroad. As managing partner, he stood at the helm of the firm between 2010 and 2016.

Manon Leijten
Manon Leijten has been a Member of the Board of ACM since March 2, 2020. Ms. Leijten earned her master’s degree in business economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam. Prior to her appointment as Member of the Board of ACM, she was the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Finance for six and a half years.
Martijn Ridderbos
Martijn Ridderbos has been a Member of the Board of ACM since January 1, 2025. Mr. Ridderbos earned his master’s degree in business economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam, and holds an executive master’s degree in Finance and Control from VU University Amsterdam. Prior to his appointment as Member of the Board of ACM, he was vice-chairman of the Executive Board of Leiden University for eight years.
